T BAILEY's Industrial Painting Services & Capabilities

When it comes to industrial painting services in Washington, few companies offer the scale, experience, and technical precision that T BAILEY LLC delivers. Specializing in large-scale painting projects for industrial, marine, and structural steel components, T BAILEY’s facility in Anacortes, WA, is purpose-built to meet the needs of modern infrastructure.

With a proven track record in high-performance coatings, advanced surface preparation, and heavy steel handling, T BAILEY LLC continues to set the standard for quality and capacity in the Pacific Northwest. Here’s a breakdown of our industrial painting services and capabilities:

A State-of-the-Art Industrial Painting Facility

T BAILEY’s facility houses one of the largest industrial blast and paint services setups in Washington. The T BAILEY painting facility features a 30’W x 30’T x 110’ L blast booth with door openings of 25’ x 25’ and a 30’W x 30’T x 110’ L heated paint booth with door openings of 25’ x 25’, operating in tandem with a cart and rail-driven system for streamlined movement of large steel components.

This state-of-the-art setup was built just five years ago and includes modern features like dehumidification systems and bake modes that allow for accelerated curing. The layout was intentionally designed to maximize throughput while maintaining a safe and ergonomic environment for blasters and painters.

These capabilities enable the company to handle complex steel tank painting capabilities and other large projects efficiently and with repeatable quality.

Advanced Services & Technical Expertise

T BAILEY’s coating expertise extends far beyond traditional paint jobs. The company offers a wide range of custom coating applications for tanks, piping, and structural steel. Common coatings include:

  • Zinc-rich primers
  • High-build epoxies
  • Polyurethanes
  • Fireproofing systems
  • Plural component coatings

The facility is supported by a fully automated media recycling system in the blast booth. Abrasive media is collected through an auger and elevator system, filtered, and reused—eliminating downtime and supporting environmental sustainability.

For pieces too large for automated systems, T BAILEY provides manual blasting and painting, ensuring consistent performance regardless of size or shape. Additionally, hard-to-reach areas are treated with stripe coatings, where painters apply protective layers by brush to ensure full coverage before spraying.

Exclusive Surface Preparation Capabilities

One of the standout features of the T BAILEY operation is its vertical Wheelabrator system—the only one of its kind in Washington. This automated surface preparation machine uses centrifugal force and eight blast wheels to clean and profile steel plates on both sides simultaneously.

“We can prep 800 square feet of steel in 20 minutes,” says T BAILEY’s coatings expert. “That same job could take over an hour by hand.”

This system guarantees a uniform blast profile and is used for about 90% of T BAILEY’s tank applications, drastically improving turnaround time and surface preparation quality.

The integration of the Wheelabrator with the company’s industrial blast and paint services allows for unmatched efficiency and performance in the preparation and coating process.

Certified Quality You Can Trust

As a certified industrial paint shop, T BAILEY holds itself to the highest industry standards. The team follows SSPC, AMPP, and AWWA standards, with a Level 3 NACE inspector overseeing quality control.

Every project undergoes strict inspections for:

  • Surface profile consistency
  • Ambient conditions
  • Coating temperatures
  • Coating application
  • Dry film thickness (DFT)

This detailed quality control process ensures that every piece meets project specs and long-term durability goals, whether it’s a marine and structural steel painting job or an industrial tank system.

Built for Large-Scale, Heavy Steel Projects

T BAILEY LLC’s Anacortes facility is uniquely equipped to handle paint and coating capacity for heavy steel. Components weighing up to 80,000 pounds can be moved on rail systems, allowing workers to safely access all sides without climbing or repositioning.

This operational model is ideal for large-scale painting projects, including:

  • Water tanks and reservoirs
  • Piping systems and penstocks
  • Marine piling and structural frames
  • Oil & gas infrastructure

T BAILEY’s ability to manage complex projects with tight timelines is one reason they’re a trusted partner across the Pacific Northwest.

Serving the Marine, Industrial & Infrastructure Sectors

The company’s core focus includes marine and structural steel painting, particularly for environments exposed to saltwater, high humidity, and temperature extremes. Their facility allows them to complete everything from small custom coatings to large-scale industrial components with precision and consistency.

“We’re doing a lot of work for marine applications, dams, and energy projects,” T BAILEY shared. “We’ve built our shop around being able to take on just about anything.”

Their flexibility allows them to manage both high-volume production and one-off specialty jobs with equal attention to detail.
